An inspection and cleaning help your furnace run more efficiently and use less energy\u2026saving you money. It\u2019s the best thing you can do to guarantee a warm, worry-free, energy-efficient home through the last few weeks of Winter and into the spring season!<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s what will happen:<\/h4>\n

Your F.H. Furr service technician will perform a complete Home Comfort 28 Point Furnace Inspection \/ Heating Inspection\u00a0<\/strong>of your furnace or heating system that will take about a half hour to one hour to complete.<\/p>\n

Your Heating \/ Gas Furnace Comfort Inspection:<\/strong><\/p>\n

  1. Visually inspect capacitors for leakage and rust<\/li>\n
  2. Inspect readily accessible ducts for obvious air leaks<\/li>\n
  3. Complete operations sequence check<\/li>\n
  4. Check the crankcase heater for proper maintenance<\/li>\n
  5. Inspection of air filtration system<\/li>\n
  6. Inspect blower wheel<\/li>\n
  7. Inspect blower and motor and record AMP draw (lubricate as needed)<\/li>\n
  8. Replacement of filter provided by the customer while on-site at the time of inspection<\/li>\n
  9. Inspect unit wiring and electrical disconnect<\/li>\n
  10. Check and calibrate thermostat as required<\/li>\n
  11. Inspect gas lines and connections at the furnace\/boiler for leaks<\/li>\n
  12. Check high limit control (adjust as needed)<\/li>\n
  13. Inspect burner ignition system and assembly<\/li>\n
  14. Inspect gas burners<\/li>\n
  15. Check and adjust manifold gas pressure<\/li>\n
  16. Check temperature rise across the heat exchanger for overheating<\/li>\n
  17. Inspect the heat exchanger for soot, corrosion, cracks and deformities<\/li>\n
  18. Inspect gas valve for corrosion, leaks, restriction of gas flow and abnormal noise<\/li>\n
  19. Inspect furnace\/boiler wiring assembly for loose connections<\/li>\n
  20. Inspect flue and venting for obstructions and leaks<\/li>\n
  21. Check the electrical circuit to the furnace\/boiler. Test all electrical\/safety circuits\/controls for proper operation<\/li>\n
  22. Inspect the entire furnace\/boiler for loose or worn parts and abnormal vibrations<\/li>\n
  23. Test and adjust the unit for peak operating efficiency<\/li>\n
  24. Check carbon monoxide emission level or pass\/fail<\/li>\n
  25. Check defrost cycle and reversing valve operation (heat pumps only)<\/li>\n
  26. Tighten screw lug terminals in the condensing unit (heat pumps only)<\/li>\n
  27. Check refrigerant level (heat pumps only)<\/li>\n
  28. Check emergency heat systems for proper operation (heat pumps only)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
