When we saw on the Haymarket Regional Food Pantry’s Facebook page that their shelves were EMPTY… WE KNEW WE NEEDED TO HELP!
Our F.H. Furr Cares team immediately sent out a call for ALL HANDS ON DECK within the company! Boy oh boy, did our employees ever turn out to help!
We packed our Cares car to the TOP! Pastas, cookies, mac & cheese, diapers, canned goods – it was AMAZING!
Eileen, the director of the food pantry, couldn’t thank us enough! They help around 2500 individuals each month! They usually spend about $4000 monthly on food for those that need assistance and our donations helped them tremendously!
Then, we decided to help AGAIN!!! We had a Peanut Butter Drive and decided that we were going to donate to the food pantry in Haymarket once again! So, our Cares team went out to different grocery stores in the area and stocked up!
Any guesses to what our grand total of jars was!? 312! YES! 312 jars!
