Our History

“F.H. Furr Plumbing” was founded in February 1981 by Floyd and Barbara Furr.

Despite limited resources in the early days, the founders were determined to build a professional company rooted in hard work and integrity. With a small team of family members helping, plumbing jobs steadily increased as word spread about their commitment to quality service and strong work ethic. A reputation for reliability and a family-centered approach quickly followed.

By 1988, the company expanded into air conditioning, becoming F.H. Furr Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning, Inc. In 1996, duct cleaning services were added, transforming the company into a full-service provider. Growth continued, leading to expanded facilities and additional service territories.

Over time, F.H. Furr expanded beyond its original base into Maryland, Washington, DC, and Delaware. With the addition of electrical services, the company became a complete home service provider capable of supporting homeowners across multiple trades.

Today, F.H. Furr continues its legacy of customer-first service throughout Dover and the greater Delaware region. With decades of experience and a commitment to knowledge, professionalism, and long-term relationships, we remain dedicated to doing the job right the first time.
