F.H. Furr kicked off the 2017 Winter Season with our 4th annual Keep ‘Em Warm Coat Drive! We partnered with the amazing people at Volunteer Prince William once again in order to provide coats to children in need, with the focus being on kids ages 12 and under. By the end of the coat drive, we filled Volunteer Prince William’s office to the ceiling with new and gently used jackets!

Volunteer Prince William was able to provide several collection boxes in all the local Prince William County Library locations. Additionally, our Cares Team joined forces with Cub Scout Pack 1922 out of Linton Hall School in Bristow to collect as many jackets as possible for local kids in need of warmth!

With the joint efforts of Volunteer Prince William, the boys from Pack 1922 and F.H. Furr’s own employees, the Keep ‘Em Warm Coat Drive amassed over 400 jackets and $2,000 to go towards giving children a warm winter this year and, hopefully, for many to come.

One of the ways we choose to focus on being better for our customers is through great communication. We believe that communicating clearly and accurately, as well as being up front with our customers, helps keep us stay at the top of our game!

One of the ways we implement this is through morning meetings with our technicians. These meetings serve as both a time for updates and information, as well as a pep rally for their day! We believe that if our technicians are excited about their work, and informed on all of the latest equipment and service updates, it will increase their ability to greet every customer with a smile on their face, and the knowledge they need to answer tough questions.

Our meetings ensure that our technicians are as informed as possible, because we know that we work in an ever-changing industry. There are constant updates with systems and service practices. F.H. Furr offers to its employees, through training and certifications, the ability to progress in the HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, or Indoor Air Quality fields. Our training facility comes complete with a full-working wet and HVAC lab and state-of-the-art classroom and computer lab to enable the trainees to have access to the most up-to-date information available.

F.H. Furr’s lab facility is where trainees receive valuable hands-on experience as they develop and perfect those skills required by one of the most technologically advanced fields of study.
