What You Need To Know About Ductless Systems

640x480xductlesssystem

If you have a room that gets too hot or cold a Ductless System may be what you need! These systems are efficient and cost-effective. They are also slimmer and more attractive than common window units. The Ductless Systems are also more proficient in keeping the room at a comfortable temperature. A Ductless System includes an outdoor unit that services multiple indoor units that are mounted throughout the home. Refrigerant is placed into the outdoor unit and is piped into small insulated refrigerant lines to the individual indoor units. In the individual unit, a fan blows the cool air into the rooms. Since the refrigerant lines are small, installation is generally easier than the installation of a full system with new ductwork.

There are a ton of benefits to having a Ductless System. A few of the benefits include:

  • Easier Installation
  • Control Over Temperature Individually On Each Unit For Zone Control
  • Increasing Comfort And Efficiency
  • Versatile Location Of Where Units Can Be Mounted

Since this type of system is easier to install, the process will take less time. Indoor units are roughly about six to eight inches deep and can be mounted on a wall or ceiling or even recessed in a drop ceiling. A three-inch hole behind the unit is used for attaching wiring, refrigerant lines, control cables, and a condensation drain. Refrigerant lines from outdoor units can span up to one hundred feet to indoor units. Ductless Systems are so effective and energy-efficient!
