#AskATrainer Series: Why Is It Important For Your Sump Pump To Have A Battery Backup?

We’ve noticed some great questions popping up across social media from customers who want to know more about HVAC, plumbing, and electrical components around their home! We thought it would be a great idea to begin a series where our trainers answer those questions! This is the Ask A Trainer Series!

“Why is it important for a sump pump to have a battery backup?” – Trent W.

Sump Pumps operate from your electrical system, so if the power goes out because of a potential rainstorm, the sump pump will not pump, which could lead to water damage. A battery backup for your sump pump can help prevent that and will keep your pump running until the power comes back on, or at least until you can find an alternative power source.

It’s our goal to provide you with the best home comfort services around, and we want you to have the assurance that it’s being performed by trustworthy, reliable technicians.
